- ➤ Local warming shelters across Northeast Wisconsin have extended hours as dangerously cold temperatures persist, and several centers now offer extra capacity to help residents stay safe. - ➤ Oshkosh is planning a new trackless train at Menominee Park (costing $100,000) funded fully by the Oshkosh Community Foundation with no tax levy. The city aims to debut the train this summer when it moves to the zoo entrance as ticket prices rise. FOX 11
- ➤ Due to dangerously cold temperatures with wind chills as low as -40, the physical Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Wisconsin was canceled. Indoor events in Menasha at Waverly Beach Bar & Grille will feature games, live music and fundraising incentives for participants pledging a minimum of $100. FOX 11
