- ➤ A local nonprofit in Ashwaubenon closed temporarily after a pipe burst flooded over half its facility Sunday (a 3,000 sqft space). The group will repair the damage with community help and aims to reopen in 2 to 6 weeks. WBAY
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Neenah’s Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass announced a $784,891 renovation to upgrade its galleries and accessibility for the first time in 35 years on Tuesday; the museum, which launched the 'Our Time to Shine' capital campaign (with 85% of funds secured), will finish construction by mid-June while remaining open. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ At Reeve Union, the annual UW-Oshkosh pop-up thrift shop offered students up to ten donated items on Tuesday and Wednesday, with roughly 5,000 items available. Organizers plan to expand the event and donate any leftover items to local charities. FOX 11
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ FoodShare recipients must meet work requirements at their next benefit renewal as letters are mailed with a deadline for 80 hours of work, volunteer, or job training & missing the requirements can limit benefits to three months in a three-year period. State changes also shift administrative cost coverage starting in October. WTAQ
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A nonprofit health insurer is investing $400,000 to expand local health care by building an equity framework that addresses social drivers of health — language access, food insecurity and other barriers. Partnership Community Health Center and local groups will use the grant to craft a roadmap for culturally responsive outreach in Fox Valley. FOX 11
