- ➤ During the second weekend of sturgeon spearing on Lake Winnebago, 34 sturgeon were harvested Saturday from spots at Stockbridge and Southwest Winnebago registration stations. The catch remains below the harvest cap with two sturgeon over 100 lb, so the season stays open. WBAY
- ➤ On Saturday, spearers on Lake Winnebago speared 34 sturgeon under improved ice conditions after warmer temperatures—DNR officials noted a record 113.8-pound fish and warned that no ice is 100% safe. Spearers will resume fishing tomorrow. FOX 11
