- ➤ The 2026 Winnebago system lake sturgeon spearing season ended Monday after 10 days with 1,540 fish harvested. Officials said the opening weekend produced 1,029 fish with a record 148.1 pound catch, making it the best start in over a decade & Downtown Oshkosh registered the most large fish. WBAY

- ➤ A Northeast Wisconsin travel group of 44 has remained stranded near Puerto Vallarta since Feb. 15 after cartel violence closed the airport (a U.S. embassy shelter-in-place order is in effect), and leader Steve Krabbe said their return scheduled for Sunday is now delayed. FOX 11

- ➤ Oshkosh Area School District is on track for a $2 million deficit by the end of the school year after spending increases not planned in last October’s budget. More than $3 million in budget cuts will take effect this fall — officials aim to balance spending. WHBY
