- ➤ Cheesemakers from northeast Wisconsin will compete for the title at the World Championship Cheese Contest in Madison (March 3-5). FOX 11
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Northeast Wisconsin’s top technical education students advanced from a regional SkillsUSA competition at Fox Valley Technical College and will compete at the statewide conference in Madison this April & may represent Wisconsin at the national conference in Atlanta in June. FOX 11
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ WisDOT released a study showing that applying brine directly to falling snow and ice reduced salt use by up to 72% while keeping roads safe. County highway departments may soon adopt the method to lower costs and protect the environment (a win for public budgets and road safety). FOX 11
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The annual Timber Rattlers Food Fight is down to five brat finalists with fans voting online until Sunday, March 8 — the winner will join the Fox Cities Stadium concessions menu and earn vouchers plus a chance to throw out the first pitch on April 2. FOX 11
