CRIME NEWS

  • Oshkosh police are continuing to investigate three shooting incidents from March 12th to 14th involving teenagers where no one was injured—two suspects, a 16-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, are in custody while officers work to learn how the guns were obtained.  WBAY

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Oshkosh Area School District held a meeting Tuesday night at Franklin Elementary—voters learned details of a nearly $200 million referendum to fix aging school buildings and improve student services—ahead of the April 1 spring election.  WBAY
  • The Menasha Joint School District announced Tuesday it will not take over the UWO-Fox Cities campus after an Outagamie County committee requested three appraisals and community feedback raised concerns about taxpayer costs—officials said further talks will explore other solutions for the child care shortage.  WBAY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Oshkosh GO Transit's paratransit service GO Plus will stop its 24/7 operation and start set hours on Tuesday, April 1. It will run Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.—while still offering rides for employment under the Access to Jobs program.  WBAY
