- ➤ Jersey Mike’s restaurants in Wisconsin donated all sales from their busy Day of Giving event to Special Olympics Wisconsin, helping fund training, competitions and health programs for thousands of athletes. The initiative, part of their Month of Giving, saw stores crowded with customers and extra shifts by staff to support local athletes. We Are Green Bay
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Three people were displaced when a house at 307 W. 9th Avenue in Oshkosh burned just after 11 a.m. Thursday— the fire damaged the second floor with heavy smoke and heat while water from firefighting affected the first floor, no one was injured and the American Red Cross is helping the family as investigators work to find the cause. - ➤ Three people lost their home after a fire damaged their W. 9th Ave residence on Thursday morning — fire crews arrived just before 11:15 a.m., contained the fire with no injuries reported, and the family is receiving help from the American Red Cross while officials investigate the cause. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Local health officials said xylazine (tranq), an animal tranquilizer not made for human use, is appearing in illegal drugs and can cause dangerous effects such as massive wounds, difficulty breathing, and severe withdrawal symptoms. They noted that testing strips are scarce and urged anyone showing these signs to seek emergency help by calling 911. WBAY
