Good morning, Oshkosh.

Oshkosh Defense won a $95 million contract with the U.S. Army to build heavy tactical vehicles with the modern PLS A2 that boosts soldier safety and battlefield awareness—production of the vehicles will begin later this year.

Tru by Hilton Oshkosh celebrated its grand opening on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that marked the opening of a 90-room hotel built for modern and affordable lodging.

Guests can enjoy free breakfast, an indoor pool, a 24/7 fitness center and a business center with media pods — all designed for comfort and convenience.

XRoads41 will add a Festival Foods Stage inside the Cowboy Town Beer Barn to host live sets by artists including The Powell Brothers, Jeremy McComb’s Honky Tonk Circus, and Hank Ruff with DJ Grant Fisher closing each night—tickets are on sale for the festival happening August 7-9 in Oshkosh.

Today, the U.S. Army placed a $95M order with Oshkosh Defense for advanced tactical vehicles that include a modernized PLS A2 system built to improve soldier safety and battlefield awareness.
