Oshkosh residents have faced many floods, and the city will use a $300,000 grant for hydraulic modeling that helps guide how storm sewers are built—Public Works Director James Rabe said street work on West Fifth Street already has kept water off the roads.
This project is expected to shape future storm drain designs and reduce flooding in affected neighborhoods.

Timber Rattlers played their season opener at Fox Cities Stadium Friday at 6:40 p.m. against the Cedar Rapids Kernels—marking their 30th anniversary season.
They will play again today at 1:10 p.m. and on Sunday as the series continues.
On Friday, the Timber Rattlers opened their season at their long-time ballpark with new giveaways and alternate names—like the Frozen Pizzas—to engage fans amid cool weather.
