- ➤ Fond du Lac County deputies are seeking a motorcyclist who fled a chase and drove 134 mph while sideswiping a car on I-41 near Highway 151 (he is described as riding a yellow sports bike and wearing a red hoodie with white text). WBAY
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ A Lockheed Constellation called Bataan will be on display at Boeing Plaza during EAA AirVenture from July 21 to 27—its restored C-121A once served as Gen. MacArthur’s personal transport during the Korean War. The plane was restored by the Air Legends Foundation and flew for the first time since its restoration in June 2023. Oshkosh Northwestern
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Oshkosh residents have noticed an increased smell and taste of chlorine in their drinking water after the Department of Public Works replaced the ozone disinfection equipment at the water filtration plant and began using chlorine as a backup (starting Monday), but officials said the water remains safe (meeting DNR standards). - ➤ The Wisconsin DMV and TSA held a joint news conference at Appleton International Airport to remind residents that REAL ID enforcement will begin May 7 and that travelers and visitors to federal sites must show a compliant ID. Nearly 64% of licenses now have the REAL ID symbol and the DMV urged people to prepare online to help keep wait times low—ensuring they are ready for the change. WTAQ
