CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday, the Oshkosh Police Department completed a search warrant near Emmeline Cook Elementary School to support a drug investigation and notified the school for safety, and the department continues its investigation. WBAY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Menasha Joint School District backed out of the one-dollar deal for the UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities campus last month, and the owners are now working to find a buyer before July 1 to avoid each county paying $400,000 per year for maintenance. Outagamie County said UW-Oshkosh plans to transfer 80% of its employees to the main campus—this move may also include keeping the Weis Earth Science Museum and Barlow Planetarium in the community. - ➤ A report on an internal investigation into Neenah City Attorney David Rashid was released Tuesday and found that disputed allegations based on questionable testimony from other criminal cases lacked clear evidence—his criminal case remains ongoing with a status hearing set for June 2 in Winnebago County Court.
