- ➤ WineFeast 2026 held April 11 at the Oshkosh Marriott Waterfront Hotel + Convention Center brought together over 550 attendees to support the Boys & Girls Club, unlocking a $110,000 challenge gift from Oshkosh Corporation and an anonymous donor for more than 3,000 local children and families. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The Taco Bell on S. Koeller closed after a fire broke out Monday just before 4 p.m. — crews found flames from the roof and the building suffered fire, smoke and water damage while no one was hurt. WHBY
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The Experimental Aircraft Association is hiring 750+ temporary workers in roles such as retail, security and event support ahead of AirVenture Oshkosh scheduled for July 20-26. Hiring events at the EAA Aviation Museum will begin April 25 with additional sessions in May and June. Oshkosh Northwestern
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Edwin Martini, while serving as the UW-Oshkosh provost, has been named the next chancellor of UW-Eau Claire after the Board of Regents approved his appointment. He will assume the role on July 1. WTAQ
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Earth Day, 23 volunteers from UW Oshkosh planted roughly 750 seedlings at Akan Acres as part of a study with the city using the Miyawaki method that places trees close together to speed up growth. The project aims to achieve 20 years of tree growth in 15 years. WBAY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Outagamie County Public Health opened a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) at Romy's Nitingale in Black Creek to provide flood relief, public health assistance, and insurance resources for local residents. The center is run by the Salvation Army and American Red Cross and is open from Wednesday through Saturday. FOX 11
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Residents returning to flooded homes are advised to check for unstable walls, standing water, and mold, Dr. William Kumprey said. He warned the hospital may see more breathing issues in the coming weeks if proper safety steps are not taken. FOX 11
