- ➤ John Corabi (who released his full-length album New Day) is opening for Cinderella’s Tom Keifer Band on May 14 at the Epic Event Center where his 60s- and 70s-inspired sound will take the stage. Tickets are available online. FOX 11
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ New Zumper data shows Oshkosh apartment rents are at $1,150 in March, 3% lower than last March but up from February—one-bedrooms now cost $885 and two-bedrooms $1,099. These rates remain well below both state and national medians. Oshkosh Northwestern
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday, the Oshkosh Area School District met to address a $3.1 million deficit found after cuts that raised the projected gap in its $145 million budget to $10.9 million — and faculty and staff are spared. The board plans a third-party review before showing updated plans in June. FOX 11
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Winnebago County Sheriff's office issued a Slow-No Wake order on Lake Winnebago waterways today as Menasha warned of potential flooding over the next 24 hours, and boat landings in Fremont are closed until officials deem it safe — the order also applies to the Wolf River in Waupaca County. - ➤ ThedaCare is converting a former service station on West Sixth Avenue into a new Gold Cross ambulance hub near ThedaCare Medical Center + the project will cut response times for families on the east side and is scheduled to complete in September. WBAY
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ The Mill on Main opened Thursday, April 23 along the riverfront in the Sawdust District, offering 115 apartments with features such as a resort-style pool and fitness center — and retail spaces including a waterfront tavern-style restaurant set to open soon. FOX 11
