CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Oshkosh Public Library began a $350,000 restoration on its 125-year-old dome roof Monday, May 4, marking the first work on it since the 1950s. The project is funded by the city’s capital improvement fund and will run for a few weeks while the library stays open (summer reading continues). FOX 11
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Michael Ford, a former Common Council member, was elected board president for Oshkosh Area School District on April 27 as the district faces a projected $10.9M deficit for 2026-27. The board cut over 65 staff positions but still needs $3.1M in savings while consultant Todd Gray reviews the budget. Oshkosh Northwestern
