- ➤ Residents in Oshkosh will receive a food drive bag with their mail and are asked to fill it with non-perishable items and place it near their mailbox by 9:30 a.m. on Saturday—postal workers and volunteers will then collect the donations to support local food pantries. WBAY
- ➤ The Oneida Nation will hold its annual Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women walk on Saturday as community members call for stronger action against violence in indigenous communities. Federal data show indigenous women are more than twice as likely to be homicide victims—underscoring the urgent need for change. WBAY

- ➤ Oshkosh police released surveillance video of a suspect spray-painting a dumpster during the week of May 5 when graffiti appeared on dumpsters, street signs, a light pole, a barrel, a building wall and a window along the 1000-1400 blocks of Oregon Street and the 100 Block of W. 7th Avenue—cleanup costs and concerns over neighborhood appearance have prompted officers to ask anyone with information to call in tips. - ➤ Oshkosh police released a video of a graffiti vandal after receiving numerous property damage calls on blocks from 1000 to 1400 of Oregon St. and on the 100 block of W. 7th Ave—neighbors with information are asked to contact the police. WBAY

- ➤ On Thursday evening, the Menasha Historical Society held a ceremony at the UW Oshkosh Fox Cities campus — history professor Steve Sheehan led a lecture in room 1338 that highlighted the campus' 92 year legacy. The event allowed current and former students to honor the institution before it is set to close at the end of the school year. WBAY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State leaders Tony Evers and Josh Kaul filed a lawsuit on May 8 against Secretary Sean Duffy after Wisconsin lost over $62 million in federal funds that could slow plans to build EV charging stations. The suit, now in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, says the lost funds may hurt jobs and local business — a risk to the state's clean energy efforts. Oshkosh Northwestern
