- ➤ On May 1, Oshkosh Media staff won nine awards at the Wisconsin Community Media Best of the Midwest Media Fest for shows on Gov TV, Life TV and Oshkosh FM—Assistant City Manager John Fitzpatrick received the Friend of Access Award for his over 25 years of support for local media. WBAY
- ➤ Girl Scout cookie sales have been short so the cookie program is extended through May 18, with unpredictable weather + economic uncertainty affecting sales. This change gives local Girl Scout troops more time to earn proceeds for their programs and service projects. FOX 11
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ One person died when a work van ran off U.S. Highway 45 in Oshkosh around 9 p.m. Saturday and rolled over into water—investigators suspect high speed played a factor and are still investigating. WHBY

- ➤ Criminal charges are filed against a Menasha High School student teacher—Cameron Mueller—accused of exchanging lewd photos and spanking an 18-year-old student in class; he faces up to three years in prison if convicted. WHBY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Justice Ann Walsh Bradley will retire this summer after 30 years on the Supreme Court and her replacement will be sworn in on Aug. 1. In an interview, she said large sums of money are changing how judges get picked and she urged reforms to help the court stay fair — a view that may shape future decisions. FOX 11
