- ➤ Oshkosh’s Menominee Park Zoo stays free this summer with extended hours from Saturday at 9 a.m. to Sept. 27. The park at 520 Pratt Trail features wolf, elk, otter, eagle and bear exhibits plus free entry programs starting in June—like National Black Bear Day on June 10. FOX 11
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Oshkosh's Waterfest returns to the Leach Amphitheater for six Thursday nights with national acts including Hairball, Vertical Horizon, Starship and Little River Band. The series begins on June 18 at 5:45 p.m.—teachers get free admission—and tickets or season passes are at the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce on Jackson Street. FOX 11
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ UW-Oshkosh is starting summer projects, burying long-exposed pipes and demolishing three under-used dorms to improve campus infrastructure for the upcoming Polk Library project. The work begins as graduation progresses and green spaces will replace old dorms (pending future development). WTAQ
