- ➤ Oshkosh Defense LLC announced this morning a three-year extension for the FMTV A2 vehicles through February 2028. The extension lets the Army order Low Velocity Air Drop variants — production will continue until 2030 — to update its tactical fleet. WTAQ
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation awarded nearly $1 million in scholarships to 305 high school and college students from Winnebago, Green Lake, and Waushara counties plus Ripon, supporting academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement. The awards, ranging from $500 to $29,000, include one-time and renewable funding options from more than 250 local scholarship funds. Oshkosh Northwestern
- ➤ The Menasha school board voted on June 11 to lease the University Children's Center from Winnebago County for one year to prevent a gap in childcare when the UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities campus closes this month—district officials plan to move staff and discuss renewing the lease in September. - ➤ Oshkosh Defense announced a three-year contract extension for its Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles A2 that lets the U.S. Army order vehicles—including low velocity air drop variants—through February 2028.
