- ➤ Sybastian Crossman was sentenced yesterday to six years in prison for fatally stabbing a man outside a restaurant on High Street in August—he also received five years of extended supervision for homicide by negligent handling of a dangerous weapon—and the verdict was handed down by Winnebago County Court. - ➤ Oshkosh Police Department and Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Group arrested a 49-year-old man and seized 1.57 lbs of meth, a car — and $675 in cash — after executing search warrants on Monday, June 23 at residences in Oshkosh and Nekimi. We Are Green Bay

- ➤ Fox Valley superintendents from Appleton, Hortonville, Kimberly and Menasha voiced concerns over state funding after the GOP-led Joint Finance Committee froze special education increases on June 12, a move that led to deficits and the closure of Columbus Elementary. They warned that without additional state funds, districts may have to cut staffing or ask local taxpayers for more money—officials stressed that revenue must match inflation. WTAQ

- ➤ Yesterday, the Netherlands ordered 150 military vehicles from Oshkosh Defense for its Marine Corps in a deal signed by the Ministry of Defense.
