Good morning, Oshkosh.

Community leaders invite residents to share photos or videos for America 250, a celebration of Independence Day today + local listings for fireworks events and a feature on Northeast Wisconsin’s 250-year heritage are available.

Some veterans say today's Fourth of July fireworks trigger PTSD symptoms, as loud explosions — similar to combat sounds — cause their bodies to react.

They urge locals to celebrate while being mindful of the reminders these displays can create.
