CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Police said a man died from multiple stab wounds during an altercation inside Menominee Park on July 5 at around 11 p.m.—a 19-year-old Fond du Lac man was taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide after officers responded to a car crash on East Irving Avenue. - ➤ On Saturday, around 11:00 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle accident call at Menominee Park — where they found an adult man with multiple stab wounds after a fight escalated — and arrested a 19-year-old man from Fond Du Lac for first-degree intentional homicide. WBAY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. Army will cut its ROTC program at UW-Oshkosh as part of a plan to reduce units at 10 colleges nationwide effective summer 2026, and about 40 students there will receive custom teach-out plans while no university jobs are eliminated. UW-Oshkosh said the program, established in 1967, will wind down smoothly + UW-Stevens Point will see fewer on-campus resources as its ROTC functions merge with another institution.
