- ➤ Oshkosh police said one man died and a 19-year-old suspect was arrested after a fight at Menominee Park on Saturday—officers found the victim with multiple stab wounds near the 900 block of E. Irving Avenue at 11 p.m. WHBY
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ XRoads41 is a three-day music festival scheduled for Aug. 7-9 at Oshkosh Festivals Park that will host top country, pop and hip hop acts on two stages — new attractions include a Ferris Wheel, premium ticket options and an event app with prize quests. Organizers also will offer daily dress-up themes and campground competitions as tickets sell quickly. FOX 11
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Army decided to close the ROTC program at UW-Oshkosh at the end of the 2025-26 school year, affecting about 40 students from UW-Oshkosh, UW-Green Bay, St. Norbert College, Ripon College and Marian University—underclassmen will need to transfer to continue as cadets while military science minors may finish the program.
