- ➤ Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport is taking part in EAA AirVenture Oshkosh by hosting a booth at Hangar C, Booth 3143 where team members from American Airlines and Delta Air Lines will interact with aviation fans and pilots next week. GRB’s flight school partner PilotSmith and FBO partners Jet Air Group and AvFlight Green Bay will serve over 400 aircraft—boosting local tourism and commerce. WBAY

- ➤ Daunte D. Riley, a 19-year-old man from Fond du Lac, was charged with first-degree intentional homicide + disorderly conduct with the use of a dangerous weapon for fatally stabbing 27-year-old Walter Brooks in Menominee Park on July 5; he is held on a $1M bond and faces a potential life sentence. - ➤ Archaeologists from the Wisconsin Historical Society and the Wisconsin Underwater Archeology Association used sonar on the Fox River near Oshkosh in spring and unexpectedly discovered a shipwreck while searching for the Berlin City wreck. Scans show the wreck is about 90 feet long and 23 feet wide—researchers believe it is the L.W. Crane that burned and sank in 1880. Oshkosh Northwestern

- ➤ The Wisconsin DNR is seeking volunteers to lead hunter education classes that teach firearm safety, require recertification every three years, and mandate a background check — candidates will instruct both basic and advanced courses across the state.
