- ➤ Hundreds of thousands visited Oshkosh on Monday for the opening day of EAA AirVenture, which drew 10 times the city's population to see unique aircraft and a tribute to the late aerobatic champion Rob Holland. Visitors from around the world shared excitement for the air show & its rare displays that brought aviation dreams to life. WBAY
- ➤ Goodyear marks its 100th year of airship flying by bringing two airships to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh this week at Wittman Regional Airport. The airships will fly during afternoon and night air shows+ one will also be parked near the EAA Aviation Museum while schedules are finalized. WBAY

- ➤ Cirrus Aircraft unveiled its new Safe Return Emergency Autoland system yesterday at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh — the system lets passengers land the plane if a pilot becomes disabled. The FAA-approved feature is available only on the new single-piston SR Series G7+ models. Oshkosh Northwestern

- ➤ Today at AirVenture, Goodyear donated the last remaining gondola frame of its GZ20 models to the EAA Museum for a new children’s exhibit celebrating its 100th airship anniversary. The frame—originally used on the Europa and Stars and Stripes airships—will be displayed to inspire local young aviation enthusiasts. Oshkosh Northwestern
- ➤ After the Goodyear Blimps leave Oshkosh following this week’s AirVenture, the company will donate a gondola from one of its longest-serving blimps to the EAA Aviation Museum. Museum Manager Chris Henry says the gondola will be turned into a multi-media exhibit + the new exhibit will open later this year. WHBY

- ➤ Governor Tony Evers proclaimed Aviation Week—July 21 to 27—in Oshkosh to honor EAA AirVenture and promote aviation safety and education.
