- ➤ The Oshkosh Area Humane Society is seeking fosters and adopters for 10 long-term shelter dogs that have been at the center for three months to nearly three years and need special care. Pete’s Garage Bar of Oshkosh is sponsoring adoption fees and food for four dogs to help ease stress during a slow August adoption season. FOX 11

- ➤ Oshkosh police arrested a 17-year-old boy on Sunday in the 1200 block of W. 12th Avenue for his alleged role in a Saturday shooting that injured a 20-year-old man—he now faces charges including first‐degree attempted homicide— as investigators continue gathering evidence. WHBY
- ➤ Oshkosh police arrested a 17-year-old suspect for a non-fatal shooting that injured a 20-year-old on August 9 in the 600 block of Franklin Street—he was located on West 12th Avenue on August 10 and is now held at Winnebago County Jail. Oshkosh Northwestern
- ➤ Jumal Lipscomb was convicted Monday of first-degree reckless homicide after pleading no contest for kicking and stomping on another inmate’s head at a state mental facility in Oshkosh—sentencing is set for Sept. 8. WTAQ

- ➤ UW-Oshkosh graduates are securing local jobs before graduation and their starting salaries are rising over the past 15 years according to survey results. University officials presented the First Destination survey on Monday at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah + ThedaCare hired 48 graduates while eight out of 10 new alumni landed Fox Valley placements through the UWO Career Center.
