- ➤ The NTSB blamed pilot error for a fatal Warbird crash in Lake Winnebago during EAA AirVenture that killed 30-year-old Devyn Reiley and 20-year-old Zach Colliemoreno when her plane took off from Wittman Regional Airport on July 29 at 8:57 a.m.—the aircraft lost speed and stalled eight minutes later. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Wisconsin high school students from lower-income families can apply for a state grant to cover 30 hours of classroom lessons, six hours of observation, and six hours of behind-the-wheel training for driver education—applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until funds run out. More than 10,000 students have already received grants since the program launched in September, and $1.5 million will be released every three months. Oshkosh Northwestern
- ➤ NWTC & MSOE have expanded their transfer partnership so that NWTC students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
