- ➤ The city of La Crosse filed a lawsuit accusing Oshkosh Corporation, Pierce Manufacturing, and the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers Association of fixing fire truck prices — the suit claims that emergency vehicle prices doubled over 10 years and delivery times increased from 18 months to four years. Oshkosh Corporation has not yet responded to the allegations. WHBY

- ➤ Starting Sept. 2, the Main Street Bridge in Oshkosh will close for construction so crews can repair key parts while detours guide vehicles along Ninth Avenue, Oregon Street and Jackson Street and pedestrians on nearby sidewalks until April 2026. The work will be completed in two stages—first, the lift spans will work for boats until Oct. 14 and then remain closed to masted boats until April 15 while smaller boats may still pass.
