- ➤ Oshkosh police arrested a 50-year-old man from Michigan on Friday after responding to a call about a gun firing in a Jackson Street home, and a later search found a loaded handgun—he now faces charges for recklessly endangering safety, being a felon in possession of a firearm and narcotics possession. - ➤ UW-Oshkosh's new chancellor Manohar Singh attended Titan Fest on Tuesday, September 2 and spoke with incoming students about their academic and financial needs. He said enrollment had stabilized with graduate programs rising 13% and transfer students up 5% while the school will add women's flag football in the spring—he expects a larger freshman class later. - ➤ A $6 million renovation of the U.S. 45 bridge on Main Street began Tuesday as crews closed the bridge for seven months to repair and upgrade its structure.
