Oshkosh Area Humane Society will host its annual Walk for the Animals on Sept.

13. The event runs from 8:30—11:30 a.m. at the Sunnyview Expo Center’s Barn E and offers games, music, prizes, and pledge rewards to help raise $65,000 for medical care for over 3,200 animals.

Oshkosh police arrested a 50-year-old man from Michigan on Friday after responding to a call about a gun firing in a Jackson Street home, and a later search found a loaded handgun—he now faces charges for recklessly endangering safety, being a felon in possession of a firearm and narcotics possession.
