CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Mark Radley, an Oshkosh pizza delivery driver, was convicted for a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 38-year-old pedestrian on Ohio Street in January 2024 (he will face up to 25 years in prison when sentenced on November 21). WHBY
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Wisk’s Gen 5 aircraft—Cora—is now part of the EAA Aviation Museum’s collection since Sept. 4 and is an electric air taxi that can hover like a helicopter before flying like an airplane. A pilot monitors its pre-programmed routes and can step in during emergencies. WTAQ
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Cooler fall-like temperatures will continue through the weekend as today will have a mix of sun and clouds with a high near 61 — a slight chance of showers is expected. Sunday will have partly cloudy skies with a high of 62 and a cool kickoff for the Packers-Lions game at 3:25 p.m. FOX 11
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Oshkosh police opened a new community outreach substation at 101 Algoma Boulevard on September 4 to help address concerns about park quality and support the homeless. Two officers, soon to be joined by a third and paired with Winnebago County social workers, now work alongside therapy dog Gema to provide crisis support — community members have already seen progress.
