GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Brooks Road at U.S. 45 in Oshkosh will close for about one month starting Sept. 15 for a $950,000 road works project that replaces a deteriorating retaining wall on the overpass. • Nine Winnebago County communities formed an ambulance district to partner with Lifestar for new ambulance service starting next year after Oshkosh raised rates and could not meet staffing needs — local officials said the new service will cost about $40 per person and may have varied response times. HEALTH NEWS
