- ➤ A new mural honoring UW-Oshkosh athletes is being installed outside the Kolf Sports Center — the project is a joint effort by UW-Oshkosh, Discover Oshkosh and Art City Wraps and will have an official dedication next Thursday as part of homecoming. FOX 11
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Farmers in northeast Wisconsin say they lost many workers after ICE arrested 24 undocumented immigrants in Manitowoc County and worry a future raid may worsen the labor shortage — a concern affecting farms across the region. WBAY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Menasha Joint School District faces a $1.5 million deficit for the 2025-26 school year and is holding listening sessions on October 16 and October 21 to decide on a referendum—after previously closing two schools and cutting staff to manage rising costs. Kaukauna Area School District has a balanced budget this year but forecasts a future shortfall and is reviewing enrollment to adjust staffing amid limited state funding. FOX 11
- ➤ Fox Valley Technical College showed off its $2.1 million, 3,400‐square‐foot dental expansion on Tuesday that added six training areas and 12 simulators for Dental Hygiene and Dental Assistant programs—funded in part by a $170,000 grant from Delta Dental—and hosted an open house from 3-7 p.m. at all campuses—featuring truck rides, ethical hacking challenges and a flight simulator.
