- ➤ The Oshkosh Area Humane Society currently cares for 151 cats and kittens as owner surrenders and stray intakes have increased amid economic hardships. The shelter — located at 1925 Shelter Court — today has 51 cats available for adoption, 79 in foster homes, and 21 awaiting procedures, and it asks the community for help in finding homes. FOX 11
- ➤ Menards is hosting a food drive — shoppers can drop off non-perishable items like cereal and soup for a local pantry until Oct. 31. The collection box is placed near the exit doors for donations. Oshkosh Northwestern
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Local contractor Aquire Restoration donated over $3,000 from the second annual Greater Valley Mini Golf Open held on Aug. 22 at Oshkosh Mills Adventure Golf to help the Oshkosh Area School District buy classroom supplies+ the event featured hole competitions and a celebration with food, drinks and music.
