- ➤ The Winnebago Detachment Marine Corps League and Auxiliary will host a ball on Nov. 15 at its clubhouse in Oshkosh to celebrate the Marine Corps' 250th birthday. The event will feature guest speaker Nikolai Makaroff + a cake-cutting ceremony with swords, music by Wayne Neumann and dancing, and reservations cost $25 per person and are due by Nov. 7. - ➤ On Saturday, thousands in 60 cities across northeast Wisconsin gathered in peaceful ‘No Kings’ protests to voice concerns about healthcare, job opportunities, and rising living costs. Local law enforcement reported no arrests and kept security in place during the marches — protesters called for respect and change in their communities. WBAY
- ➤ On Oct. 23, more than a dozen local restaurants will donate 10–20% of their sales to help survivors of domestic abuse through Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services.
