- ➤ Just Dance, a new dance-based fundraiser supporting Fox Valley nonprofits, was announced yesterday at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center—where community members and professional dancers gathered to boost charity efforts. Ten local figures will join professional dancers to train for a February ballroom performance—raising funds for nonprofits including Trim Hunger. FOX 11

- ➤ Pull tabs in Wisconsin remain legal after a court ruled — noting that companies like Wisconsin Souvenir Milkcaps must show odds, expiration dates, and prize details — that their designs follow state law. - ➤ The Weis Earth Science Museum in Menasha is moving much of its collection to the History Museum at the Castle in Appleton after closing in May. Officials say about 60% of the visible specimens have been packed and some are on display with a full exhibit and a Halloween event planned for next year — the transfer is set to complete by year-end. - ➤ UW-Oshkosh began planning its new strategy (Oshkosh Infinity) on Monday night to update programs as shifting enrollment and changing tech affect learning. The plan will boost financial health, community service, and student success, and listening sessions (starting October 30th) will be held to gather feedback. WTAQ
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On October 28th, the Wisconsin DNR met with the Fox River Navigational System Authority to plan monitoring invasive round gobies near the Bowen Street Fishing Pier in Oshkosh, and the agency said the strategy will help stop the spread of the aggressive fish — which threaten native species in Lake Winnebago.
