EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ NWTC and UW-Platteville announced a new partnership to expand local access to engineering degrees for students in the community — the agreement will let students pursue engineering studies close to home. FOX 11
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Steve Burns—the Wisconsin DNR biologist—said rain and wind will not greatly change deer movement as hunters prepare for tomorrow's gun deer opener, explaining that wind direction is key since deer use their noses to sense their surroundings. He added that while later opening times may reduce buck activity, hunters must check permits and Deer Management Unit boundaries. WTAQ

- ➤ Governor Tony Evers joined over two dozen volunteers on November 20th to plant 40 trees donated by Cummins Inc. at Lakeshore Park—a former golf course where Landscape Operations Manager Travis Dirks showed proper planting for 24 tree species including Oak, Hawthorn, Hemlock, Maple and Elm.
