- ➤ Tracy Ogden, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, was inducted into the Wisconsin Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame on Nov. 17 for her work at the local, state, and national levels, and the Hyde family was honored for more than 40 years of club support. The induction dinner was held at the Oshkosh Marriott Waterfront Hotel & Convention Center during the state conference — reinforcing the ongoing commitment to youth service. FOX 11

- ➤ Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s survey shows the cost of a traditional Thanksgiving meal for 10 has risen to $61.84 this year (a 6.7% jump from last year) as bird flu, weather issues, and higher labor costs tighten supply, while national prices actually dropped. The survey collected prices for 15 food items and noted that a 16-pound turkey now costs $27.84, reflecting the strain on local poultry farms. Oshkosh Northwestern
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The UW Board of Regents approved on November 19 a new policy that makes general education credits transferable between campuses even though at least seven Faculty Senate groups opposed the change—faculty say it could limit each campus's control over its curriculum. - ➤ The Wisconsin Department of Health Services said the CDC’s new language linking vaccines to autism revived a discredited claim and risked public safety.
